The final draft of ISO 14001:2015 was issued in July 2014. This is the final consultation document before its issue next year. The revised standard is significantly more challenging that the version it replaces. In particular it adopts a product life cycle approach, requires top management involvement and leadership and gives much more consideration to stakeholders and the supply chain.
We advise that organisations certified to ISO 14001:2004 begin considering the changes that are required to their environmental management systems as the transition to the new standard may prove to be very challenging for some.
We offer a review and gap analysis of your system and a transition programme. Please contact us for further details.
